Strong motion studies continue to be a very active field in seismology. In this context, the use of semi-empirical strong motion simulation technique has been demonstrated to be a powerful tool in designing earthquake resistant structures. My research primarily focuses to modify this technique by incorporating rupture complexities. In brief, the research is an effort to reduce the uncertainties associated with seismic hazard assessment and to provide a more reliable ground motion prediction model.
